Yes, you can sell on Amazon from Pakistan, and thousands of Pakistani sellers already do. Pakistan is on Amazon’s list of approved seller countries, so you can open a seller account with your own documents, sell to customers in the US, UK and Europe, and receive your earnings in Pakistan. This guide walks through the whole process in the order you will actually do it.
Step 1: Choose your Amazon business model
Before you open an account, decide how you will make money. Your model decides your budget, your risk and the documents you need later.
| Model | How it works | Starting budget | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Private label | You create your own brand and sell a product made for you, usually in China | About $3,000–$8,000 | Long-term brand building and the highest margins |
| Wholesale | You buy established brands in bulk and resell them | Medium to high, usually needs a USA LLC | Sellers who want proven products |
| Online arbitrage | You buy discounted products online and resell them on Amazon | A few hundred dollars | Learning the platform on a small budget |
| Amazon VA (freelancing) | You manage other sellers’ accounts for a monthly fee | Almost zero | Earning in dollars before investing your own money |
Many of our students start as Amazon Virtual Assistants, earn while they learn, and launch their own private label product once they understand the platform.
Step 2: Prepare your documents
Most Amazon account rejections in Pakistan come from document problems, not from anything complicated. Prepare these before you start:
- CNIC or passport. A passport is often easier because it is already in English. Your name must match exactly on every document.
- Proof of address. A recent utility bill (gas or electricity) or bank statement showing your full name and the same address you enter on Amazon.
- An international credit or debit card that can be charged in US dollars for Amazon’s monthly fee.
- A Payoneer account to receive your Amazon payments (see Step 4).
- A phone number and email that only you use for this account.
Scan documents in colour, keep all four corners visible and make sure the address is written the same way everywhere. Small differences such as “St.” versus “Street” can trigger a verification failure.
Step 3: Open your Amazon seller account
Go to Amazon Seller Central for the marketplace you want to sell in (for example sellercentral.amazon.com for the US) and register. You will choose between two plans:
- Individual: no monthly fee, but $0.99 per item sold. Good while you test.
- Professional: $39.99 per month with no per-item fee. You need it to run ads, win the Buy Box and sell more than about 40 items a month.
Amazon will then verify your identity, usually through a short video call where you show your original documents. Have the originals ready, sit somewhere well lit, and make sure your internet connection is stable.
Step 4: Set up payments with Payoneer
Amazon cannot pay directly into most Pakistani bank accounts. The standard route is to link a Payoneer account to Amazon. Amazon deposits your sales into Payoneer, and you withdraw the money to your local bank, such as HBL, Meezan or UBL, in rupees.
Step 5: Find a product and a supplier
This is where most beginners lose money. A good first product usually has steady demand all year, is small and light to ship, is not fragile or regulated, and leaves room for profit after Amazon fees and advertising. Use product research tools to check sales estimates and competition, then order samples from several suppliers before you commit to inventory.
Step 6: Ship to Amazon using FBA
With Fulfilment by Amazon (FBA), Amazon stores your stock, packs and ships every order, and handles customer service. Your products also become eligible for Prime, which matters a lot for sales. Your supplier or a freight forwarder ships the goods to Amazon’s warehouse, often through a prep centre that labels each unit.
Step 7: Launch with a strong listing and PPC
Your listing has to win the click and the sale. Write a title with your main keywords, use clear bullet points that answer buyer questions, and invest in professional photos. Then run Amazon PPC (Sponsored Products) so customers find your product while it has no reviews yet. Start with small daily budgets and cut keywords that spend without selling.
Should you form a USA LLC?
You do not need a company to start. Many sellers register as individuals from Pakistan. A USA LLC becomes useful when you want wholesale accounts with US brands, a US business bank account, or a cleaner structure for taxes as you grow. EcomXpert offers USA LLC and UK LTD formation for Pakistani sellers.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Using a relative’s documents or a shared address. Amazon links accounts and may suspend both.
- Opening more than one seller account on the same marketplace.
- Picking a product only because it looks popular, without checking profit after fees.
- Launching without a PPC budget and waiting for sales to arrive by themselves.
- Buying a large first order before testing samples and the listing.

Frequently asked questions
Can Pakistanis sell on Amazon?
Yes. Pakistan is on Amazon’s list of countries that can register as sellers, so you can open a seller account with your CNIC or passport and sell on Amazon US, UK and other marketplaces.
How do Pakistani sellers get paid by Amazon?
Amazon cannot pay directly into most Pakistani bank accounts. Most sellers link a Payoneer account to Amazon, then withdraw from Payoneer to a local bank such as HBL, Meezan or UBL in rupees.
How much money do I need to start Amazon from Pakistan?
A private label product for Amazon US or UK usually needs around $3,000 to $8,000 for samples, first inventory, photography, Amazon fees and ads. Wholesale and arbitrage can start smaller but give thinner margins.
Do I need a USA LLC to sell on Amazon?
Not to open an account. You can register as an individual from Pakistan. Many sellers form a USA LLC later because it helps with wholesale suppliers, brand registry, US bank accounts and taxes.
Is it better to learn Amazon in a course first?
If you have never sold online, a practical course saves expensive mistakes in product choice, listings and PPC. Look for training on live seller accounts rather than slides.
