Amazon Seller Account in Pakistan: Requirements and Verification (2026)

Pakistan is on Amazon’s list of approved seller countries, so you can open an Amazon seller account with Pakistani documents and sell to customers in the US, UK and Europe. Most rejections don’t happen because the seller isn’t allowed. They happen because a document is blurry, a name is spelled two ways, or an address doesn’t match. This guide covers exactly what Amazon asks for, how verification works, and how to avoid the common rejection reasons.

Individual or Professional: which seller plan?

  • Individual plan: no monthly fee, but Amazon charges $0.99 for each item sold. Fine while you’re testing.
  • Professional plan: $39.99 a month with no per-item fee. You need it to run Amazon ads, compete for the Buy Box and sell more than about 40 items a month.

These are Amazon US fees. Other marketplaces have their own pricing, and you can switch plans later.

Documents you need

  • Identity: your CNIC (front and back) or passport. A passport is often easier because it’s already in English.
  • Proof of address: a recent gas or electricity bill, or a bank statement, in your name and showing the same address you enter on Amazon.
  • A card for fees: an international credit or debit card that can be charged in US dollars.
  • A payout account: Amazon can’t pay into most Pakistani bank accounts, so most sellers use a fully verified Payoneer account and withdraw to a local bank such as HBL, Meezan or UBL.
  • A phone number and email that only you use for this account.

Scan everything in colour, with all four corners visible and no glare. Keep recent documents ready: an old bill or statement is a common reason for rejection.

Step-by-step: opening the account

  1. Set up and verify Payoneer first, so you have its account details ready.
  2. Go to Seller Central for your marketplace (sellercentral.amazon.com for the US) and create your account with your own email.
  3. Enter your details exactly as they appear on your documents. Name, address and date of birth must match character for character.
  4. Add your card and payout account.
  5. Complete the tax interview. As a non-US individual, you’ll usually fill in Form W-8BEN inside Seller Central.
  6. Upload your documents and submit.
  7. Complete identity verification. Amazon usually asks for a short video call where you show your original documents. Sit somewhere well lit with a stable internet connection.

Common reasons Amazon rejects Pakistani sellers

  • Name mismatches, such as “Muhammad” on one document and “Mohd” on another
  • Address mismatches between your utility bill and what you typed
  • Blurry, cropped or dark scans
  • Old documents, especially bills and bank statements
  • Bank statements with no activity or no printed address
  • Switching networks or devices often in the first weeks, which can trigger extra review
  • Using someone else’s documents or card, which leads to permanent suspension

If verification fails, read Amazon’s message carefully, fix the exact issue it mentions and resubmit. Don’t open a second account. Amazon links accounts and may suspend both.

Do you need a US LLC?

Not to start. A Pakistani individual account works for many sellers. A USA LLC can make sense later for brand registration, US banking or scaling, and we can help when you get there.
